Boats and RVs

Boat and RV insurance in Florida

Boats and RVs need their own policies. A homeowners or auto policy is not a substitute. The quote is free.

Why people call

  • Its own contract

Hull, liability, and trailer coverage are written for the boat or the RV. We do not tuck them into a home quote and hope.

  • How you use it

A boat on the Indian River and an RV you live in are different risks. Tell us where it stays and who drives or operates it.

  • Storm plans

Some boat policies ask where you will haul the boat for a named storm. We read that condition. We do not promise haul-out coverage.

Boats and RVs are not cars

An auto policy does not cover a boat on the water. A homeowners policy may not cover an RV you live in full time, and it does not replace boat liability. We quote an agreed value or actual cash value hull, liability, and the trailer if there is one. A survey or photos may be required. We will say so.

For an RV, we ask whether it is a motorhome or a trailer, where it is parked, and whether it is your primary home. Full-timers need a policy that expects someone to live in it. A pleasure-use policy can exclude that.

Call or text (321) 429-1182. The year, length, and where you keep it are enough to start.

A free quote is not a policy. Nothing on this page is a binder of coverage.

Questions people ask

Does my homeowners policy cover my boat?

Liability for a small boat is sometimes included, with a low limit, and the hull often is not. Do not assume it. Tell us the length and the horsepower. We will say if you need a separate boat policy. Most boats on the water in Brevard County do.

What is agreed value?

A amount you and the carrier set for a total loss, instead of a value the adjuster depreciates. It is not available on every boat. We will say which settlement the quote uses. We do not promise agreed value.

Do I need a survey?

Older boats and higher values often need one. The carrier decides. If we cannot quote without it, we will tell you before you pay for a survey you might not need.

What if a hurricane is coming?

Some policies require you to haul the boat or move it to a named place. If you cannot, or if the policy does not cover the haul, a claim can be limited. Read that warranty before storm season. We will point at it. We will not invent haul-out reimbursement.

I live in the RV. Is that a problem?

It is a different policy. A vehicle you use on weekends is not the same as a full-time residence. Tell us. The wrong form can leave you without a place to stay after a loss.

Is the trailer covered?

Only if it is on the policy. A boat trailer towed on the road may also need to be listed on an auto policy for liability while it is attached. We will say which policy does which job.

Can you cover a personal watercraft or a small fishing boat?

Often yes. Length, speed, and where you operate still matter. A jet ski and a cruiser are not the same application. Bring the registration if you have it.

Is the quote free?

Yes. Boat and RV quotes from this office are free. Coverage starts when a carrier binds it.
