Why people call
Vehicles that work
Trucks, vans, and cars titled to the business, or used to haul tools, make deliveries, or visit job sites.
Liability in dollars
We show the liability limits on the quote. We will not call a limit “full coverage.”
Cars the business does not own
If employees run errands in their own cars, ask about hired and non-owned auto. It is not automatic.
What it covers
Liability if a business vehicle hurts someone or damages their property, and physical damage to the vehicles you schedule if you buy that. Florida requires drivers to carry auto liability. The limit you choose can be higher than the minimum. We show the options. We do not print the state’s dollar minimums here, because the right limit for a work truck is a business decision, not the smallest number that makes the truck legal.
Tools and goods in the vehicle are often not covered as cargo. A contractor’s compressor in the bed of a truck can need inland marine or a property form. Tell us what you haul. Personal auto is the wrong place for a vehicle that delivers, tows for hire, or carries paying passengers.
Who needs it
Palm Bay and Brevard County businesses with a truck, van, or car used for work, including many contractors. Also businesses with no company car, if employees drive their own vehicles for the job. A personal policy can deny a claim once the use looks commercial.
Call or text (321) 429-1182. Bring the vehicle list, who drives, and what the vehicles do. Choose Commercial auto on the quote form.
A free quote is not a policy. Nothing on this page is a binder of coverage.
Questions people ask
Can I keep my personal auto policy on the work truck?
Usually no, once the truck is used for the business. Personal policies often exclude commercial use, deliveries, and hauling tools for hire. Tell us how the truck is used before a claim tests the wording.
Which vehicles have to be listed?
Any vehicle the business owns and uses, and any vehicle you want the policy to cover. Leaving one off does not save a claim. If a car is sometimes personal and sometimes for work, say so. The title and the use both matter.
My employees use their own cars. Do I need anything?
Their personal policies may not protect your business if they are driving for you. Hired and non-owned auto is the coverage people ask about in that case. It is not on every general liability policy. We will say if the quote includes it.
Are the tools in the truck covered?
Often no. Auto physical damage pays for the vehicle, not the equipment sitting in it. Inventory and tools usually need property or inland marine coverage. Tell us what you carry.
Do you quote delivery vans and contractor trucks?
Yes. The radius, the cargo, and whether you deliver for others change the class. A plumber’s van and a vehicle that delivers food are not the same application. Describe the work plainly.
Who is allowed to drive?
The drivers you list, under the rules of the policy. A new hire with a poor record can be excluded or can change the price. Hiding a driver is a bad idea. Bring the licenses if you have them.
Is this the same as general liability?
No. General liability does not take the place of auto liability for a vehicle accident. Many contracts ask for both. We quote them as separate lines unless a package form says otherwise, and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
Is the quote free?
Yes. There is no broker fee. Coverage starts when a carrier binds the policy and any required premium is paid.
